Expandable Microspheres for Lightweight Microcellular Applications
Heat-expandable microspheres for creating lightweight microcellular structures

Our expandable microspheres consist of a thermoplastic shell encapsulating a hydrocarbon blowing agent. When heated, the shell softens and the internal pressure causes the microsphere to expand dramatically — increasing volume by 40-60 times.
This unique property makes them ideal for creating lightweight microcellular structures in injection molding, extrusion, and compression molding processes. Used widely in automotive, footwear, seal strips, thermal insulation coatings, and industrial applications.
Key Features
High expansion ratio (40-60×)
Consistent particle size distribution
Suitable for various molding processes
Creates uniform closed-cell foam
Reduces density without sacrificing strength
